Located on the first four floors of Sony headquarters in New York City, the Sony Wonder Technology Lab is a showcase for entertainment and emerging communication technologies. Chedd-Angier-Lewis produced a series of interactive experiences for the Lab’s 2003 upgrade, centered around the themes of ‘Create’ and ‘Connect.’
Music allows museum visitors to perform with Sony recording artists in a simulated concert environment.
Using Moviemaker, visitors can assemble an individualized short film made up of footage from popular Sony motion pictures.
Gamebuilder and History of Games feature the increasingly popular medium of video games, presenting visitors with a history of the format, and allowing them to develop their own custom racing game.
Finally, Wonder of Imagination blends each of these media together in a networked audio-visual presentation that juxtaposes visitor’s names and photos with Sony music, film and video game personalities.
